Els sinotàxids (Synotaxidae) són una família d'aranyes araneomorfes, que formen part de la superfamília dels araneoïdeus (Araneoidea), al costat de tretze famílies més entre les que cal destacar pel seu nombre d'espècies: linífids, araneids, terídids, tetragnàtids i nestícids.

Amb la informació recollida fins el 28 d'octubre de 2006, aquesta família té 13 gèneres i 68 espècies. Es troben a Amèrica Central i Amèrica del Sud, Nova Zelanda i Austràlia. La categorització en subfamílies segueix l es propostes de Joel Hallan en el seu Biology Catalog.
