Ray Manzarek

Raymond Daniel Manzarek (Chicago, 12 febbraio 1939) è un musicista statunitense. E' stato il tastierista del famoso gruppo statunitense The Doors, dal 1965 al 1971.
Fu proprio Ray assieme a Jim Morrison a fondare i The Doors ed è artefice di molte delle melodie delle più famose composizioni del gruppo. Ha pubblicato alcuni album da solista fra cui The Golden Scarab (A Rhythm Myth) e un riadattamento dei Carmina Burana di Carl Orff.
Nel 2001 ha intrapreso una serie di concerti con i the Doors of the 21st century insieme al chitarrista dei The Doors Robby Krieger e all'ex cantante dei Cult Ian Astbury.
