SOS Schools in Guinea

Over 40 per cent of young people (15-24 years) in Guinea are illiterate.

SOS Primary School Conakry Guinea

In Guinea, there are currently three SOS Schools and three SOS Nurseries.  These facilities provide education to children from SOS Villages and from the wider community. Staff members are well trained and the resources available to students are of a high standard.  Below you can find an overview on the SOS Children education projects.

Raphael's Story

In the village of N'Zérékoré, Raphael loves school so much, he has decided to become a teacher when he is older and asks to be called “Monsieur Raphael”. So serious is he about his chosen career, that even though Raphael’s only eleven, he sometimes helps out at the nursery next door, drawing shapes and writing words on the blackboard.
