Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Sobre la costa tènue es veu entre la boira
on l'host arrogant de l'enemic reposa en terrible silenci
¿Què és allò que la brisa, sobre l'altíssima pendent
quan bufa, ara amaga, ara revela?
Ara rep el centelleig del primer raig del matí
En plena glòria de la reflexió, ara brilla en el rierol
¡És la bandera de les estrelles centellejants! Que per molt temps onegi
sobre la terra dels lliures i la llar dels braus.

¿I on està aquella banda que envanida jurava
que el caos de la guerra i la confusió de la batalla
ens deixaria sense llar ni país?
La seva sang ha rentat la taca dels seus vils passos.
Ningú refugi ha pogut salvar el mercenari ni el esclau
Del terror de la fugida o de la penombra de la tomba.
I la bandera de les estrelles centellejants en triomf oneja
sobre la terra dels lliures i la llar dels braus.

¡Oh, que així sigui sempre, quan els homes lliures s'interposin
entre la seva estimada llar i la desolació de la guerra!
Beneïda amb victòria i pau, que la terra rescatada pel cel
lloi el Poder que ens ha creat i preservat com a nació.
Hem de triomfar quan la nostra causa sigui justa
I que aquest sigui el nostre lema: "En Déu confiem"
¡I la bandera de les estrelles centellejants en triomf onejarà
sobre la terra dels lliures i la llar dels braus!
