Gold Dagger

Il premio Gold Dagger Award è un premio dato annualmente dalla Crime Writers' Association (Associazione degli Scrittori di Romanzi Gialli), per il miglior romanzo giallo dell'anno.
Per i relativi primi cinque anni, è stato conosciuto come il premio Crossed Red Herring Award.
Dal 1995 al 2002 è stato sponsorizzato dalla Macallan, così il premio è stato chiamato Macallan Gold Dagger.
Dal 1969 al 2005, il secondo posto il premio Silver Dagger Award egualmente ha ricevuto un premio in denaro finché è entrato il premio della Banca Duncan.
Nel 2006, dovuto alla nuova sposorizzazzione della Banca di Duncan Lawrie, il premio ufficialmente è stato cambiato il nome in Duncan Lawrie Dagger, con un premio in un fondo monetario £20.000, rendendo il più grande premio di crimine-romanzo nel mondo, in termini monetari.
