Deutsch: Das phönizische Alphabet und seine Entsprechung in vier heutigen Alphabeten. Von links nach rechts: Lateinisch, Griechisch, Phönizisch, Hebräisch, Arabisch.
Legende: In der Mitte befindet sich der ursprüngliche phönizische Buchstabe, waagerecht daneben seine direkte Entsprechung in anderen Sprachen. Jede Buchstabenreihe hat eine eigene Farbe. Pfeile verweisen auf Buchstaben, die aus direkten Entsprechungen entstanden sind (schräg schraffiert dargestellt). Senkrecht schraffierte Buchstaben (X und die griechischen Buchstaben Phi, Chi, Psi und Omega) sind nicht phönizischen Ursprungs. |
