Alberta Watson , nome completo Faith Susan Alberta Watson (Toronto, Ontario, 6 marzo 1956) è un'attrice canadese.

Alberta Watson ha iniziato sin da giovane a recitare assieme ad un gruppo teatrale locale finché ha iniziato una vera e propria carriera alla giovane erà di 19 anni. Già all'età di 23 anni, nel 1978, ha ricevuto una nomination per il premio Genie per il miglior ruolo co-protagonista nel film In praise of older women. In seguito si spostò negli Stati Uniti dove lavorò contemporaneamente sia a Los Angeles che a New York per parecchi anni, ma nel 1990 fece ritorno a Toronto e sin da allora Alberta ha fatto di quella città la sua casa.

Uno dei suoi primi ruoli da professionista fu nel film tv della CBC Honor thy father che giunse per lei alla giovane età di 19 anni. In seguito prese parte a numerosi ruoli televisivi e commerciali tra cui The price & me, Hackers, Gotti, The sweet hereafter, 24 ed il ruolo di Madeline nella serie tv canadese La Femme Nikita. Alberta ha sempre preferito però ruoli in produzioni canadesi. Alberta è anche nota per le sue interpretazioni in Spanking the monkey, Hedwig and the angry inch, The wild dogs, after the harvest, Deeply, Shoemaker, Choice: The Henry Morgentaler story ed in Chasing Cain ed il recente Show me yours.
