Other SOS Projects in Kita

An SOS Nursery and an SOS School both are open to the children of the SOS Children's village as well as to the children of the neighbourhood. The SOS Nursery consists of six classrooms for up to 200 children. The SOS School (primary and secondary school) is currently under construction. It will consist of eighteen classrooms (twelve for the primary school and six for the secondary school) as well as an administration office, a handicraft workshop, a kitchen and a canteen.  At this school, up to 810 children can be taught.

An SOS Social Centre was opened on the site of the children’s village with the aim of offering help to the people in the city of Kita and its neighbourhood. In addition to social, medical and financial aid for children, this centre offers counselling regarding child education and career guidance for parents. Conceived with the aim of strengthening the families against poverty, this program is run in cooperation with the local authorities.
