English: The flag of Cape Verde from 1975-1992. This flag was based on the flag Of Guinea-Bissau, with an added shell and maize wreath. The red, yellow, and green are Pan-African colors, with the black star standing for black Africa; the shell represents fishers and the corn farmers.
